Establishing a plant that produces vegetable oils would be a lucrative business idea. This is likely due to Qatar’s imports of large quantities of vegetable oils. According to global trade statistics, Qatar recently imported a variety of vegetable oils (sunflower, safflower, and cottonseed) valued at approximately $25,192,000. It also imported olive oil valued at approximately $9,224,000. There is a long list of vegetable and animal oils that Qatar imports, but this is not the place to discuss them.
According to statistics from the Qatar Planning and Statistics Authority, there are only three factories producing vegetable and animal oils. Therefore, the market is open to competition, and any new venture in this sector will be able to carve out a niche for itself within the target market.
